Although ultimately a personal choice, I have tried to include most important choral compositions in this list. However, since my other rule was that a reasonably good live performance must be available on YouTube (or elsewhere online), I was unable to include some important composers such as Elgar, Walton, Janacek and others. I will add them in the future when good online performances become available. Although I like to put things in historical order, for variety's sake the list of composers is in alphabetical order.
